Welcome to our first ever blog! Reflections will be our way to share information, news, ways to manage, strategies and much more to help strengthen your mental wellbeing. Each Friday we will have a new blog topic available for you. If you’d like us to cover a topic that is of interest to you, leave a comment or send us an email and we’ll do the rest!
So, what’s in a name? When it was time to pick a name for a Psychology clinic, a lot was considered to ensure both the name and logo represented what we truly wanted to portray. Both the logo and name were precisely handpicked and matched.
Our logo symbolises the Rorschach Test used in psychology (the ink blot tests). These ink blots showed us that every individual has different perceptions based on what they have previously experienced in their life. What they see will be unique to them. We believe that every client is unique and their journey must be tailored to meet their individual needs.
The reflection of faces.
As you may see in our logo, there are two faces reflecting each other, both identical to the other. Our biggest critic is the one staring back at us…it’s us! The amount of effort we put into ourselves and our journey is what will reflect back. We try and empower the individual to better their relationship with themselves, to build self love and kindness, to support, motivate and encourage themselves on their journey.
What does Self Reflections actually mean? Progress and change can only occur when we look within ourselves. The world around us will provide challenges and difficulties that at times we cannot control. Strengthening ourselves allows us to alter perceptions and experiences we have of this world and create new opportunities for growth within. This is our core…our focus is you, your strength, your goals, your journey and we help you redirect your focus on yourself to ensure you live a full and content life.
Ready to make changes that will last? Get in contact to secure your appointment today. Remember you’re not in this battle alone.
If there is a topic you think is important for us to add to our blog, or if you’d like to share your thoughts on your mental health journey to encourage others, we’d love to hear from you.
Wishing you all a lovely week, from the team at Self Reflections.
